Way back when in another life, I was a fine-art color printer for some well known photographers. One in particular would go out to the desert with a large-format camera shooting the sky on color negative film. He had talked about a moment sometime between first light and sunrise where it was still night but the Sun was boldly announcing it’s presence. I’ve never been much of a morning person, but in the last year I’ve given up my night owl ways. I’ve come to appreciate those moments and will strive to post them here daily.
